“TEAGHLACH” (pronounced chye-lukh) – the Irish word for we are family. Also, the name so fittingly given to this family owned cottage. The Fryday family bought this property in 1959, however the cottage looked a little different back then. This cottage weathered many storms, provided a place of rest for the weary, adventure for the traveler, and a home away from home for our family.
In 2015 the old familiar cottage was torn down to make room for our growing families. When designing the cottage we wanted a space that felt ‘homey’, an open concept layout which encourages community and conversation, and of course a cottage that allowed the veil between indoors and outside to be thin – a space that allowed the natural light to pour in and the beauty of lake Huron to absorbed. You haven’t fully seen beauty until you witness a Grand Bend sunset.
There are now 4 generations of Frydays who travel from near and far to enjoy the serene, and relaxing atmosphere this cottage has to offer. This cottage has been loved by family, friends, and renters for many years… we would love for you to be apart of the Teaghlach story!
